Our Modern Slavery Statement from our Head of People & Talent
At SB Media Group and SBX Cars, we are committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our organisation or our supply chains. Guided by our values of integrity, responsibility, and respect, we apply robust processes and controls across our business operations to minimise the risk of modern slavery and human rights violations.
To the best of our knowledge, neither we nor our supply chains engage in forced labour. We recognise, however, that vigilance is essential, and we remain committed to continuous monitoring, improvement, and transparency in this area.
Our Business and Structure
SB Media Group is a global digital media company, and SBX Cars is a premium car-selling platform. Together, we create, distribute, and promote automotive and lifestyle content to audiences worldwide, while connecting buyers and sellers of unique and luxury vehicles. Our headquarters are based in the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, with a growing international presence.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains include technology providers, production partners, contractors, marketing platforms, and professional service providers. Due to the nature of our work and industry, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our supply chains to be relatively low. Nevertheless, we are proactive in mitigating any potential risks by:
Undertaking due diligence for new suppliers, tailored to the risk profile of their territory and industry
Embedding modern slavery provisions into our contracts and supplier agreements
Requiring transparency and cooperation from all business partners
Carrying out risk assessments and reviews where appropriate
Within SB Media Group & SBX Cars
We also take proactive steps within our own organisation to uphold the highest standards, including:
Ensuring every employee has a written contract of employment and the legal right to work
Providing information to new hires on their statutory rights and benefits
Conducting due diligence on any recruitment agencies used
Supporting staff wellbeing, development, and safeguarding through our People & Talent team
Protecting whistleblowers and encouraging reporting of any concerns
Training & Awareness
To ensure ongoing understanding and awareness, we provide training to staff on the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the risks associated with modern slavery, and the responsibilities we each hold in preventing it.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our modern slavery and human trafficking statement as approved by the Board for the financial year ending 31st December 2024.
